Fridge No More is a New York-based company providing the service of 15 minutes free grocery delivery with no minimum order, no hidden fees, and no subscription. The company is run by Anton Gladkoborodov and Pavel Danilov – successful entrepreneurs with impressive experience and several other startups.

Fridge No More started its services in October 2019, became super popular, and now the team is looking for a new team member - a customer-oriented person with fluent English to help develop the best grocery delivery service in New York.

Now, the company is looking for a Junior Payroll and Benefits Specialist - someone to oversee and supervise the organization's payroll and benefits functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

What will you do: 

  • Implementing, maintaining, and reviewing payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

  • Performing daily and weekly revisions of employees' schedules - you will be counting worked hours, remaining vacation days, sick leaves. 

  • Performing payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.

  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

  • Creating payroll reports. 

  • Processing all benefit enrollments and terminations.

  • Other possible tasks.

Requirements:

  • English language fluency - you will be communicating with native English speakers, and you should be able to catch their tone of voice. And for sure we don’t want to see or hear any mistakes. 

  • Knowledge of the payroll function, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes - you will have a supervisor to guide and help you but you have to understand what you are required to do. 

  • Analytical skills - you can analyze, structure, and work with the data, come up with conclusions based on the information you receive. 

  • Proficiency in Excel - you should have formulas knowledge and be ready to use it on daily basis.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - you will be communicating with a lot of people, we need you to be able to find an approach to anyone. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Excellent attention to detail – you should be the person who cares about every small detail while working with numbers. 

  • Strong self-reliance and the ability to create solutions and make decisions on your own with the minimum required confirmations. You only need KPI’s and you will find a way to complete the tasks by yourself. 

  • Good organizing skills - you can manage your time wisely and don’t want a minute to go to waste. 

  • You love automizing processes - you can come up with ideas on making the processes more productive and less time-consuming. 

  • Ability to adjust to the EST time zone - ideally you will be working from 5 PM to 1 AM (Moscow time). But there is a possibility to start earlier. 


Not necessary but will be a plus: 

  • Experience working with ADP Workforce Now payroll software or its analogs.

  • Full-time employment (8 working hours per day, 5/2). For this vacancy, we consider only senior last-year students and recent graduates. We will not consider candidates planning to combine several jobs.
